I can’t stop tweaking GRANITA: Here’s what’s new.

Can I take a break for a moment? It seems like I really can’t. I’ve introduced a ton of new features to GRANITA, the web app I designed to manage the entire mixing and mastering order process.

The graphics have been completely redesigned, making them more cohesive, clean, and eye-catching. Comment colors are differentiated to improve the clarity of information and user experience.

I’ve introduced the possibility to add extra services, such as Lifetime Storage (I’ll keep the Logic project forever on my backup storage) and Individual Stems Export, so you can have all your processed stems in separate files (perfect for remixes or your personal archive). And why not? Tips! If you appreciate my work, you can offer me a glass of wine, a pizza, or a low-cost trip. Mamma mia, I’m easy to please!

Once you’ve made your PayPal payment and I’ve confirmed it, the payment status changes to Complete. At that point, Alice sends an email receipt with a summary of services and price breakdown if there are any extras and tips. From that moment, you can also download the invoice in PDF format directly from the icon in the top right corner of your project.

I love beautiful things. You’ve probably figured that out by now. In the bottom left corner, there’s an icon that opens a menu where you can change the background color, upload a local image to use as wallpaper, or choose from the gallery between 4 default and 2 seasonal options.

I’ve added the ability to format text in markdown to highlight keywords or write bullet lists. Another very convenient feature is that the URLs entered in the comments are now automatically hyperlinked. Very useful when you want me to listen to a reference track, for example from YouTube.

Markdown Commands Quick Guide:

  • Bold text: **your text**
  • Italic text: *your text*
  • Headers: # H1, ## H2, ### H3
  • Bullet lists: - item or * item

Alice is always there to help you navigate GRANITA, troubleshoot issues, or write a more detailed revision. You can write to her in any language or even call her!

If you’re really impatient while waiting to receive your mix, you can kill time in the Lounge. I’ve created a drum machine for you to have fun experimenting with new grooves while you wait. You can even upload your local samples!

You’ve really become so many, and I’m getting older and older, which means I forget things more easily. So in my admin view, I can now save mix preferences for each artist. Do you like drums in the foreground, Dolomites Alps-style reverb on vocals, or very delicate mastering? Just tell me (or I’ll figure it out by reading the revisions) and your next mix/mastering will be much more consistent!

So here we are! GRANITA is getting better every day, just like a good wine.
If you haven’t tried it yet, I think now is the perfect time! My goal is to provide you with the easiest and most enjoyable process possible along with a professional yet super affordable result. And if you have any suggestions on how to improve, I’m all ears!

Ciao!
